Kheer

I know, you're probably thinking, What's Kheer?,I'll tell you but first let me get back to the beginning. Tomorrow we are going to an indian food super bowl party, so yesterday my mom said, "Hey, Noah do you want to make indian rice pudding for the party?" I said yeah. So today I put a 1/2 tsp of nutmeg and cardamom, 1 and 2/3 cups coconut milk and 2 cups milk and 1 cup brown rice into a medium sauce pan.  And brought it to a boil.  Then I brought the heat down and cooked it at a simmer for 10 minutes.  And currently I am cooking it until most of the liquid gets absorbed.
                                                    Be back later,or not,

P.S. Kheer is the indian word for pudding. We add 3 tbsp. sugar and a large pinch of saffron and eat cold or warm.

Weird Cream

My Aunt Robin and my Uncle Jeff were coming over tonight so I decided I would make Tapioca Pudding, so I got the recipe and started. "Beat 1 egg white in medium bowl with electric mixer on high speed until foamy. Gradually add 3 tbsp. sugar, beating until soft peaks form.
Mix tapioca, another 3 tbsp. sugar, 2 c. milk and 1 egg yolk in medium sauce pan. Let stand 5 minutes. Cook on medium heat, stir constantly until it comes to a flu boil. Remove from heat. Quickly stir in egg white mixture until well blended. Then stir in one teaspoon of vanilla. Cool 20 minutes and then stir." Around step 4 I realized that this was the Fluffy Tapioca Cream, not the Tapioca Pudding. It's sort of interesting.

Chapati Dough

This is (so far) possibly one of the most annoying recipes that I've ever had because of the fact that it sticks all over. Today I was over at my cousin erin's house and we were making Indian food. So I said I'll make the chapati (which is the name for flatbread in Indian) and headed over to the corner with my cousin's friend Sarah. We added 2 cups flour, 1 cup water, and kneaded it with our hands for 10 minuets. For the next 15 minuets it will be chilling in the refrigerator.
The beginning of a (well, I hope) delicious meal,
