In Search Of A Nickname

I am in search of a nickname. With a name like Noah, you hardly ever get a good nickname. These are the ones my mom has come up with:Noah Balboa, Noseky,  and Noah Bean. Any suggestions?

Ginger Garlic Lemon Spread vs. The Ginger Garlic Sauce (for dumplings)

Today I was wondering what I was going to cook.  So I thought about something simple that I could make to go along with our meal.  So what came to my mind was a spread of some sort.  And I found my idea.  A ginger garlic lemon spread! I didn't exactly know if it would taste good, so Mom suggested that I look on the internet for spreads or dips similar to mine.  To my amazement I found a ginger garlic sauce for dumplings which I was going to make tomorrow.  Tomorrow I will be back with a ginger garlic lemon spread and dumplings.

Which Way To The Wild West?

If you're like me, you like history but you also don't like long books about boring details such as sailing and getting money for the United States. You like action! and you like it fast. You don't like to wait.  If you're like me a perfect book for you would be  Which Way to the Wild West? by Steve Sheinkin.  It's a perfect book (if you're like me) about the Wild West.  The reason I like it so much is hat it is specific and it teaches you about things. It teaches you about specific people. For instance, it follows a certain person on the trail to the Oregon.  It tells about how the West became the West (at least for our United States) and about what happened to it after that. There certainly were many exciting things.  For example, it follows a 19 year old boy and his friend on a trip to Texas. They got captured by Mexican soldiers and were brought to Santa Fe to be brought into jail.  They were later freed and this trail became the Santa Fe Trail.

Recook A Sucsess-Failure

The recook had interesting effects, for one it didn't return to a very thick hollandaise but became a crumbly paste for two the syrup separated and for three it only semi-hardened, but you know my method,"Every meal can be made delicious." Dad had the idea for delicious this time, put the crumbles and crunchy rice on
cottage cheese drizzled with dark chocolate and topped with whipped cream.
                                                                                                 A delicious dessert by,

Try Two

Alright, so the first time it burnt and now it hasn't cooked enough. It dried but didn't harden, it crystalized.
Right now I'm trying to melt and recook. If this doesn't work we're trying tomorrow.

Burnt Toffee

My first attempt at Donna's Butter Toffee was a complete failure. It went well until I was supposed to take it off the heat. I misjudged when to take it off and it burned. I got it off the heat because I knew that it was ruined. Then for some reason that is beyond me, Mom poured the burnt toffee into a tupperwarre and it overflowed and burned her , Mom spilled it and poured the part that hadn't spilled into another tupperware. This time it didn't overflow. I'm going to try again when I have more butter.

"Grandpa Stu's Chocolate Mousse"

Last Friday we had guests, so Mom asked if I would make dessert. I said, "Sure, I'll make 'Grandpa Stu's Chocolate Mousse.'"  It was delicious , the only problem was that the chocolate did not completely mix in. The reason that this happened was that there was too much time in-between melting the chocolate and mixing it in. The solution is to melt the chocolate closer to mixing it in.

                                                                                           A pretty delicious dessert, By,

P.S. Here is "Grandpa Stu's Chocolate Mousse Recipe" .
1/2 pound semisweet chocolate
6 large eggs,separated
3 tbs. water
1/4 cup Frangelico liqueur
2 cups heavy whipping cream
6 tbs. sugar
whipped cream for garnish
grated chocolate for garnish

(1) Cut the chocolate into half inch pieces and place the chocolate into a saucepan and put the saucepan into almost boiling water (I use the microwave). Melt over low heat. (2)   Put the yolks and water into a heavy saucepan place the saucepan over low heat and beat vigorously and constantly, when the sauce begins to thicken, add the liqueur, beating constantly. Cook until the sauce achieves a consistency of a sabayon or hollandaise, which it is.  (3)  Add the melted chocolate to the yolks and liqueur sauce and fold it in. Scrape the sauce into a mixing bowl.  (4)  Beat the cream until stiff, adding two tbs. of the sugar towards the end of beating. Fold this into the chocolate mixture.  (5)  Beat the whites until soft peaks begin to form . Beat in remaining sugar and continue beating until stiff. Fold this into the mousse.  (6)  Spoon the mousse into a crystal bowl and chill until ready to serve. Garnish with whipped cream and grated chocolate.

Yield: Twelve or more servings

Warning: This recipe is VERY rich.

Delicious Lemon Bars

Last night my Aunt Robin made the most delicious lemon bars. They had powdered sugar on the top and inside was thick lemon and a shortbread crust. The crust was hard and thin.

New Pasta Recipe

I felt like cooking something today so I got out the pasta and thought of which ingredients I might use to put a little spice in.  I finally decided on a pinch of cloves, two mungo cloves of garlic and rosemary.  Oh and onions too!  I put the rosemary in a pan with olive oil and stirred constantly and vigorously.  Then when I could smell the rosemary very strongly, I put in the onions and one clove of garlic. Once the onions began to brown I put in flour and kept on stirring.  Once the flour was mixed in I put in milk and kept on stirring but not as vigorously. In the meantime, I let a pot of water boil and just around this time I put in the pasta.  I kept on stirring the sauce until I thought it was done and let the pasta cook.  I stirred together the pasta and the sauce and voila! it was done.  A delicious meal by,
