If you're like me, you like history but you also don't like long books about boring details such as sailing and getting money for the United States. You like action! and you like it fast. You don't like to wait. If you're like me a perfect book for you would be Which Way to the Wild West? by Steve Sheinkin. It's a perfect book (if you're like me) about the Wild West. The reason I like it so much is hat it is specific and it teaches you about things. It teaches you about specific people. For instance, it follows a certain person on the trail to the Oregon. It tells about how the West became the West (at least for our United States) and about what happened to it after that. There certainly were many exciting things. For example, it follows a 19 year old boy and his friend on a trip to Texas. They got captured by Mexican soldiers and were brought to Santa Fe to be brought into jail. They were later freed and this trail became the Santa Fe Trail.
